LEWANDOWSKI – MAYBE

Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski has refused to rule out any speculation linking him with a move to Premier league club Manchester United. Sir Alex Ferguson recently completed his first purchase of the summer after signing Dortmund midfielder Kagawa only recently.

However, it is thought that the Scot is not willing to complete his summer purchases just yet after it was revealed that Robert Lewandowski has become the latest target for the Premier league club. It is estimated that Manchester United will be able to seal the deal with Dortmund for around £ 17 million.

Robert Lewandowski has only two years left on his current contract with Dortmund, but talks over a new deal has stalled due to the striker being unhappy at the wages being offered. Manchester United recently lost out to Chelsea Chelsea on Lille midfielder Eden Hazard, but they are not afford to waste any time on securing the signature of another striker.

Robert Lewandowski is expected to be the replacement for Dimitar Berbatov, who has been linked with a move to Turkey. If Robert Lewandowski does sign for Manchester United, then he will be competing for places alongside Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck, and Hernandez.

“I’m not going to concentrate on these issues. Euro 2012 is the priority. I did everything to take the ball. I was just millimetres away but this is football and I hope next time I score. I regret that we did not take more of our chances in the first half. It could have been two or three but we still have a positive attitude,” said Lewandowski after scoring in the 1-1 draw with Greece on the opening day of Euro 2012. Poland missed several opportunities to win the game and take all three points. Russia, meanwhile, won their group game against the Czech Republic 4-1.
