A few weeks ago Manchester United offered Victor Valdes the chance to recover from his anterior cruciate knee ligament injury by training in the facilities of the Premier League club. The Spanish goalkeeper is a free agent and he was linked with a move to Liverpool but the head coach of Liverpool, Brendan Rodgers shut down those claims and rumors as the manager stated that he doesn’t have any plans of including Valdes in his Liverpool squad.
Now the future of Victor Valdes is cloudy as Valdes has not received any official offers from a top European club and there were rumors of Louis van Gaal being interested in signing him on a free deal and this could be why the Dutchman offered Valdes the chance to fully recover from his latest injuries in the training facilities of Manchester United but if you take into consideration that Louis van Gaal already has at his disposal David de Gea, it does not sound realistic at all that Valdes would replace David de Gea who has been making splendid performances in every match.
David de Gea even attracted the attention of Real Madrid as the Spanish club is willing to offer Manchester United a substantially high offer in order to bring David de Gea to Real Madrid but the goalkeeper said that he is happy playing with Manchester United and does not have any plans of leaving.
ThibautCourtois and David de Gea are 2 of the brightest goalkeepers and even at the age of 22 and 24 respectively they are already considered to be some of the best players in the world in world of goalkeepers and it would be immensely shocking and surprising if Manchester United are willing to sell their jewel to Real Madrid even if an astronomically high bid is offered, it just wouldn’t be the correct choice for Manchester United and especially considering the current situation they are in where the defence struggles and seems to be getting weakened more and more as each week and match passes on.
